Lee Ayling

Providing Solutions

Lee Ayling, managing director of Information Technology (IT) Advisory Services in the UK, specializes in IT and telecommunications sourcing, transformation, program management and cost reduction. Lee joined EquaTerra after several years at Deloitte, where he was a director, leading the European Telecoms Advisory team.

Lee has advised on many of the largest IT deals and programs in both the private and UK public sector over the past decade, and his input enables clients to quickly identify and commit to business and fiscal benefits. Lee's balance of experience ensures that his advice is grounded in what is achievable.

Lee says the best part of his job is that every day is different "and you get to solve a diverse set of problems with innovative - sometimes unproven - solutions."

His clients have included Unilever, Shire Pharmaceuticals, AB InBev, Royal Mail Group, The Department for Work and Pensions, HM Revenue & Customs, Tesco plc, Transport for London and BT.

Lee often comments on outsourcing industry trends in the press and at conferences. This is supported by numerous annual research activities that he leads, including the annual EquaTerra UK IT Service Provider Performance Survey. He is also a board member of the National Outsourcing Association, holding the position of Innovation Director.

Prior to Deloitte, Lee worked at BT in the design and development of new telecommunications services and products. Born in Aldershot, Hampshire (UK), he now lives in London, and is an amateur athlete who competes in five triathlons a year and enjoys skiing.
